I can't believe Thanksgiving has come and gone and here we are approaching December! I am loving the cold! Be sure to wrap your little ones up in warm coats as the temperatures will be dropping. I have added a few pages to your childs "GO" book. Please take a close look at the sightword sheets that are in there. The words highlighted are specifically for your child to go over and practice. Once the highlighted words are mastered continue on to sheet 3 and 4. Making flash cards out of small pieces of paper are a fast, and easy way to practice often.
Continue to read each night. It is crucial that your child has that extra practice of reading and decoding at home as well as school. Do not tell them the word if they don't know what it is. Encourage them to use their "chunking out skills" that have been taught at school.
